Jimmy Carter

Hello,
this time I'm going to write about Jimmy Carter, because we have already worked in nobel prizes and after that we have to write about someone who won a nobel prize.

James Earl Carter, was born on October the 1st of 1924. He is an American politician who served as the 39th President of the United States (1977–1981). Before he became President, Carter served two terms as a Georgia State Senator and one as Governor of Georgia (1971–1975).

In 2002, President Carter received the Nobel Peace Prize for his work "to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development" through The Carter Center.

Three sitting presidents, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson and Barack Obama, have received the prize; Carter is unique in receiving the award for his actions after leaving the presidency.

I have chosen this person because it was the only person that I knew who won a nobel prize. I knew also Barack Obama but it was already chosen by another one. Apart from that, I consider him as a very interesting person and I think that he had deserved the prize he got.

colavorative story

Hello to those readers that like thriller stories, in these two weeks, all the class we have done colaborative stories in pairs. This time I have worked with my friend Oier ( click here to enter  his blog). To do this each group wrote the beggining and the other groups went  completing it. The one I have published is improved but if wou want to read the original one click here.

NECESARY ROBBERY

It was a dark evening, and I was at home when a note was introduced under the door. It was an anonymous note. I opened it and it  said that my father had been kidnapped and that if I wanted to see him again I would have to give them 3,000,000$ before midnight and, of course, I didn’t have that money.

I was  very scared, I didn't know what to do. I didn’t have the money but it was my father, what would I have to do? I took a decision, I think the fastest method to get money: stealing. I took the Magnum of .44 of my father  and I prepared the plan to rob a bank. I took a balaclava, a hat and some black glasses so that to nobody could recognize me.
At 2:00 AM, I decided to go to my garage, and I took the map of the nearest bank, and when  I was deciding how to enter I realised  that I couldn't do it alone, and I decided to call my best friend named Mariano. Mariano said to me that he was very busy, but finally I convinced him and he came with me.

I met Mariano in the nearest park of the BBVA bank. We passed some hours preparing the robbery and when we were prepared to act we realised that the bank had already closed. Suddenly, I received a call, the kidnapper told me that the limit of giving him  the money had decreased. What was I going to do? But I found the solution to my problem.

Mariano told me that the bank of the other street, bank of Santander, had a door in the back and nobody stay watching, so we decided to go to that bank and make the robbery there. When we went to the back door, was closed with a very big padlock. Trying to open the door, we took an axe and we broke the door. We were in the offices of the bank, so to get into the safe we had to go to the third floor and put the correct password.

There were a lot of guards, so we couldn't do an armed robbery until we were in the third floor. We went to the third floor going from the fire exit stairs and once we were there we tried to put the correct password but we couldn't. It was then when my telephone rang, it was the kidnapper. He said "I'm watching you, you are doing well, the password is 0987654321234567890" we entered the password and it was the correct one. We were in the safe and I took the amount of money I needed, but Mariano as he was impressed he took all the money he could.

When we were going out, my telephone rang, was the kidnapper again saying " let's play a game, you have two minutes to get out of the bank". Suddenly, the alarm was switched on and we were running and the guards were pursuing us. We only had two gungs, and they were too many policeman for us. Mariano started shooting against the policeman without control, I told him to stop because we didn't want to kill anybody. As he didn't pay me any attention I decided to go because I had to rescue my father. I started to run outside and I saw that the police killed Mariano, I robbed a car and I went to the central park to meet the kidnapper.

In the park, I saw a white car that was familiar to me. I knocked to the car's door, and a strange and at the same time familiar man oppened the door. I couldn't believe, he was my father! He said " thenks son, this money is going to be very suitable for me, but... GAME OVER!!" After saying I heared a dry noise in my head that after this I never woke up.

ACCORDION ORCHESTRAS

Hello to all those musicians that are following my blog,
As I said in my firs post, I'm going to write about sports or music. This time I'm going to write about music, exactly about accordion orchestras, because I'm the drummer of one of it.
To get in this orchestra, I had to learn music theory for 7 years and apart from that another 7 years of practicing more than 15 percussion instruments, such as the kettledrum, xylophone, drums...
This orchestra is called " Isidro Larrañaga Acordeoi Orkesta" and is from Tolosa, one of the biggest towns of Gipuzkoa. We are very famous in this area but the accordion orchestras are very unknown in the rest of Europe. Because of that we don't have enough concerts to earn some money.
One of the most important concerts, was a European level championship in Czech Republic, Prague. Fortunately, we got the first prize, so in 2013 we are going to go to Innsbruck to the  world championship. I don't think that we will win but I'm sure that we will have a lot of fun.
